If you walk by our house today, you might notice this in a tree in the front yard:
Inside is this:
It appears a blue jay nest fell apart somehow and there are at least two fledglings in our yard. We've successfully gotten one into a box in the tree but the other one we know about is currently hiding under the shed. The parents are understandably upset.
So far they've survived two nights and from what I can tell they seem pretty close to flying so hopefully they'll make it!
